How to Measure Your Foot
Prepare:
Place a sheet of paper on a hard, flat floor against a wall.
Stand naturally:
Place your heel against the wall and stand normally on the paper.
Wear the socks you plan to wear with your shoes.
Mark your longest toe:
Mark the end of your longest toe on the paper.
Measure the length:
Measure from the wall/heel position to the mark at your longest toe.
Record the measurement in centimeters (CM).
Measure both feet:
Feet can differ slightly in size, so use the measurement of your longer foot.
Choose your size:
Match your foot length with the
Foot Length (CM) column in the Pellevista size chart.
How to Measure Your Foot Width
Foot width is measured across the widest part of your
forefoot. Measuring your width can help you choose the
most comfortable fit.
Stand naturally:
Stand upright with your full weight evenly distributed
on the foot.
Find the widest point:
Identify the widest part of your forefoot,
usually around the ball of the foot.
Measure across:
Measure straight across the widest part of your foot
from one side to the other.
Do not wrap the tape:
If using a ruler, keep it straight across your foot.
Do not measure around the circumference.
Measure both feet:
Use the width measurement of your wider foot.
Select your width:
Compare your measurement with the width options available
for the specific Pellevista shoe style.
Narrow
For slimmer feet
Standard
For average-width feet
Wide
For wider feet
Width Tip:
If your foot feels tight across the widest part,
consider the wider available option. If your foot is
significantly wider than standard, choose Wide when
available.
Please note: Shoe fit can vary slightly depending on
the shoe style, leather, construction, and foot shape.
This guide is intended to help you select the closest
size and width. If you are between sizes, we recommend
choosing the larger size.

■ Olive Austerity Wingtip Oxford
Essence of Elegance and Refinement
The Austerity Wingtip Oxford is a historically significant shoe design celebrated for its exquisite and elegant craftsmanship. Its defining feature is the wingtip pattern on the toe cap, which gives it the name “wingtip.”
Olive Austerity Wintip Oxford
I. The development of the Austerity Wingtip Oxford in History
The Austerity Wingtip Oxford emerged in the 1930s, during the hardships of World War II. The term “Austerity” originates from the era’s policy of resource conservation, when materials were scarce. To reduce costs, manufacturers simplified shoe designs, eliminating unnecessary embellishments while preserving the essential beauty of the Oxford shoe.
The result was a line of shoes that were understated, simple yet still elegant. Today, the Austerity Wingtip Oxford remains a symbol of refinement and elegance in the world of handmade footwear.
Although the exact timeline remains debated, Austerity Wingtip Oxford first appeared in the 19th century, inspired by shoes worn at Oxford University.
II. Design and Features of the Austerity Wingtip Oxford
With its attractive style, high quality, and longstanding history, the Austerity Wingtip Oxford continues to be favored worldwide.
The Austerity Wingtip Oxford features a simple yet sophisticated design. Specific design elements include:
1. Wingtip Pattern:
The hallmark of the Austerity Wingtip Oxford is its wingtip pattern on the toe cap, resembling a bird’s wing. This pattern is typically created using intersecting lines that form an elegant and sophisticated motif.
2. Minimal Decoration:
In contrast to traditional Oxford shoes, Austerity Wingtip Oxfords do not feature decorative brogueing—commonly found on Brogues. Instead, they rely solely on clean lines, creating a refined and elegant appearance.
III. The Process of Crafting a Complete Pair of Austerity Wingtip Oxfords
The production of Austerity Wingtip Oxford shoes demands precision and high craftsmanship. Each pair reflects the dedication of skilled artisans, from selecting leather, cutting and shaping, to assembling and polishing—all done entirely by hand. Together, these steps create shoes that are refined, durable, and stylish.
1. Design and Cutting:
Initially, a shoe model is drawn on paper and transferred onto leather. Each part of the shoe is carefully cut to ensure precise fitting.
2. Toe Cap Construction:
This step involves creating the distinctive wingtip pattern. The cuts are meticulously made by hand to form the bird wing shape, requiring high precision and accuracy.
3. Sanding and Stitching:
The cut leather pieces are then sanded for smoothness and stitched together. All stitching is meticulously executed to ensure a snug and durable fit. The sanding and stitching processes are meticulously completed through the art of handwelting and handcrafting.
4. Assembly and Finishing:
Finally, the shoe components are assembled. The shoe sole is attached to the upper, either stitched or glued securely. The shoe is then polished and finished.
5. Materials:
Ichigo Ichie Shoemaker’s Austerity Wingtip Oxfords are crafted from premium cowhide, known for its durability and breathability, offering a soft texture and unique color variations.
IV. Austerity Wingtip Oxford: A Fresh Breath to Fashion
What makes the Austerity Wingtip Oxford unique compared to other styles is its combination of traditional handmade Oxford shoe design with the distinctive wingtip pattern, along with the omission of decorative brogueing. The result is a pair of shoes that are simple yet incredibly elegant, suitable for both formal workwear and casual streetwear.
